The course is aimed at all dentists who, in their daily practice, find themselves having to deal with problems related to the treatment and rehabilitation of periodontal patients.

At the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Make a correct diagnosis of the disease according to the new classification, after understanding the etiopathogenetic mechanisms and risk factors.

• Design a treatment plan for a periodontal patient requiring aesthetic or functional rehabilitation.

• Understanding the potential and limitations of non-surgical periodontal therapy.

• Select the correct surgical procedure according to rational indications.

• Establish correct procedures for the long-term success of prosthetic and implant rehabilitations.

Theoretical parts

They will be treated from both a clinical and scientific point of view, providing the necessary evidence for the various techniques proposed.

Practical parts

Use of CBCT for implantology.

Periodontal surgery training on simulators.

Clinical case planning exercise.

The surgical procedures will be illustrated and discussed with the aid of videos.

Discussion of clinical cases

In each dedicated session, an initial clinical case will first be illustrated.

Participants will then be divided into small groups. Each group will receive initial documentation (medical records, x-rays, and photographs) and will have the necessary time to develop a treatment plan.

At the end, the various therapeutic solutions proposed will be discussed and the results of the treatment performed by the speaker will be illustrated.
