Maxillary sinus lifts via the crestal and lateral approaches: when, how, and why. The M.I.S.E. technique.

In many clinical cases, pneumatization of the maxillary sinus limits the possibility of placing adequately length implants. After a thorough examination of the anatomy and pathophysiology of the maxillary sinus, we will proceed to classify the degree of posterior maxillary atrophy and the resulting recommended surgical techniques. What are the indications and contraindications for a crestal sinus lift? And which is the most predictable among the many available? How should potential intra- and post-operative complications be managed?

When is a lateral approach indicated? How can the sinus mucosa be maintained?

How to prevent and manage complications in sinus surgery?

We will try to answer all these questions during the course.

aimed at a maximum of 12 participants, with the aim of teaching the most modern techniques

surgical procedures for maxillary sinus lift. The course format is very practical, and

It includes a theoretical explanation of each single method, the discussion of numerous

clinical cases, the projection of high-resolution videos and the immediate execution of

surgical interventions on specially prepared animal tissues.
