
Lofano Bartolomeo
Classical high school diploma; graduated in July 1978 from the University of Medicine and Surgery of Bari; specialization in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics. On January 3, 1981, he was hired by the Division of Maxillofacial Surgery and Odontostomatology of the MIULLI Ecclesiastical Institution in Acquaviva delle Fonti (BA). In 1989, he attended the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the Milan Tumor Center, directed by Dr. Molinari, and obtained a specialization diploma in Head and Neck Oncology. In 1990, he attended a specialization course with Prof. Sulsenti, earning a diploma in Rhinology, Aesthetic and Functional Nasal Surgery. From 1990, he became an Assistant, first as a tenured assistant and then, in January 1997, as a full-time assistant in the same Division. In 1994, he obtained the 3rd Master's degree. Since 1997, he has been head of the Maxillofacial Oncology module. In 1997-98, he attended the Clinic of Odontostomatology and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Amiens (FRANCE), directed by Professor Duvauchelle. In 1999-2000, he attended the Lariboisiere University of Paris VII and obtained a university diploma in Microsurgery and Experimental Surgery. In 2000, he was head of a Maxillofacial Surgery Unit. Since 2002, he has been a consultant in Maxillofacial surgery at the Miulli Hospital in Acquaviva delle Fonti. Since 2009, he has been head of the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at the Villa Lucia Clinic in Conversano. He has authored several publications in this field and demonstrated implant lines. He has lectured and taught courses in periodontology, implantology, and oral surgery. Since 1988, he has performed dental implants using surgical techniques for bone harvesting necessary for jaw reconstruction (bone harvesting from intraoral sites, jaw angle, chin; major maxillary sinus lift; mini-lifts; iliac crest harvesting for complex jaw reconstructions). He currently practices privately in Conversano.
