He graduated with honors in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics from the University of Bari in 1996. From 1997 to 1998, he served in the Navy as a dental officer aboard the cruiser Vittorio Veneto and at the Military Hospital in Taranto. In 1999, he attended the annual advanced training course in Oral Surgery held by Prof. M. Gabriele at the University of Pisa. In the same year, he attended the course in Implantology held at the University of Pisa by Prof. U. Covani and L. Sbordone. From 2000 to 2002, he completed a postgraduate course in Implant Dentistry at New York University, directed by D. Tarnow and N. Elian, attending daily classes at the D. Ashman Department of Implantology as a graduate resident. In 2004, he attended the annual periodontology course held by Dr. S. Parma Benfenati, in 2008 at the annual fixed prosthetics course held by Dr. M. Fradeani. He was an adjunct professor of the postgraduate course in Implantology and Advanced Surgery at the G. D'Annunzio University of Chieti, from 2003 to 2010. Since 2012, he has been an adjunct instructor at the New York University College of Dentistry in the D. Ashman Department of Periodontology and Implantology. Since 2000, he has been a member of the American Academy of Osteointegration (AO), where he has presented various posters and table clinics. Since 2008, he has been a full member of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP) and since 2010 of the Italian Society of Osseointegration (SIO). He has published in international journals and is a speaker at courses and conferences on implantology and periodontology. He is a private practitioner in Bari, focusing exclusively on implant prosthetics, periodontology, and oral surgery.
