He graduated with honors in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics from the University of Bologna in 1997. While serving as a dental officer at the Military Hospital of Bologna during his military service, he specialized in "Biomaterials in Prosthetic Surgery" at the IOR in 1999. Thanks to awards and scholarships, he joined the operating staff, first in the Surgery department and then in the Periodontology and Implantology department of the UniBO Dental Clinic. In 2007, he completed the UniBO II level Master's degree in "Surgery, Periodontology and Implantology" with honors. He was appointed Honorary Research Assistant at the Institute of Dentistry - Queen Mary University of London in 2020, and in the same year he obtained a PhD in "General Medical Sciences and Service Sciences" from the University of Bologna. Since November 2006, he has been a permanent University Researcher at the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences at the University of Bologna. In addition to his research, he holds teaching positions in postgraduate programs and in the degree programs in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, Dental Hygiene, and Dietetics. A speaker at both national and international scientific events, he is the author of numerous publications in international journals.
