Prosthetically guided implantology has such a long-term predictability
supported by scientific evidence to be considered the therapy of choice in
treatment of edentulism. However, an implant is always intended for replacement
of a lost tooth element and therefore, its positioning must always be
regulated by guidelines that must take into account the final prosthetic design.
It is not enough, therefore, to place an implant where the bone anatomy allows it, but it is
It is necessary that the tooth to be rehabilitated is as integrated as possible, from a functional point of view
aesthetic and functional, with the adjacent dental elements.
The aim of the basic training program is to guide students in the ideal implant placement across the three spatial planes, following the requirements that allow for a stable and long-lasting result. These guidelines allow for prosthetically guided implant placement, respecting adjacent anatomical structures and integrating naturally with other teeth.
During the training course, students will have the opportunity to try out post-extraction implants and deferred techniques. If necessary, they will perform bone regeneration techniques to increase residual bone while placing the implant, thus improving the stability of the peri-implant hard and soft tissues.
The course will last three days, the first of which will be dedicated to the theoretical part
and to the discussion of the cases to be treated. The other two days will be dedicated, instead, to the
practical part: participants will work on patients selected for the course.
