Born in 1956 in Montichiari (BS), graduated in Medicine and Surgery in Milan in 1980, specialized in Dentistry in Padua in 1984. Active member of the Italian Academy of Conservative Dentistry since 1986 and member of the Board of Directors from 2007 to 2015.

Active member of the Italian Society of Endodontics from 1987 to 2011, member of the Board of Directors from 1996 to 2005, and Secretary-Treasurer from January 2000 to June 2005. Active member of the Italian Society of Conservative Dentistry since 1991. Founding member, member of the Board of Directors since 1998, and Past President of the Italian Society of Dental Traumatology. Certified Member of the European Society of Endodontics since 1997. Full Member of the Friends of Brugg since 2008.

Active member of the Italian Academy of Endodontics since 2010. In the academic year 1989/90, he was a contract professor of Conservative Dentistry and in the academic year 1991/92, he was a contract professor of Endodontics at the CLOPD (Centre for Clinical and Surgical Microendodontics) of the University of Brescia. In the academic year 2006/2007, he was a contract professor of Clinical and Surgical Microendodontics at the University of Rome "La Sapienza." From the academic years 1998/99 to 2009/2010, he was a contract professor of Endodontics (CLSOPD) at the University of Parma. From the academic years 2010/2011 to 2014/2015, he was a teacher of Endodontics (CLSOPD) at the University of Parma. To date, he has lectured on endodontics at the Universities of Bologna, Brescia, Cagliari, Catania, the Polytechnic University of Marche, Modena and Reggio Emilia, Padua, Pavia, Rome La Sapienza, Rome Tor Vergata, Trieste, and Verona. He is the author of 87 scientific publications.
